Best of both worlds
No, I’m not taking about The Grubesteak in pleather pants dancing to a certain song from “Dirty Dancing”.
I’m talking about today’s blessing from Apple Computer providing the ability to run Windows XP on a Mac with its new application, Boot Camp.
There are a few catches:
1. You must own an Intel-based Mac to be able to do this.
2. You have to have your own copy of Windows XP to put on the computer, as Apple will neither sell or support the Windows platform. You play at your own risk.
3. Speaking of risk, the Windows side will still be vulnerable to the same type of crap that makes working with a non-Apple’s machine a living hell.
Other than that, the Boot Camp application is pretty sweet. And for guys like me, who need Windows because of web design and gaming, but would rather use a Mac for practically everything else, then this is truly the best of both worlds.
So … I’ve got a couple of PCs for sale … anyone interested?

I’m so excited that everyone is stoked. That is enough to make me stoked. Then we’ll all be stoked. YEAH!!!!
Seriously though. I’m pretty excited. Now all I have to do is pay off my taxes and then save up for an apple (not buying anything big on credit). How sweet life is.
