Tools for your journey
I wanted to share with you a few things that make my life easier. Enjoy.
1. Bug Me Not. Have you ever wanted to view a web site, but it required you to register? Don’t get frustrated, just go to www.bugmenot.com, enter in the name of the site requiring registration and get a username and password for you to use. If one isn’t available, help the cause by signing up on the original site and then sharing that information. This takes sharing on the internet to a whole new level.
2. Stop junk mail. Want to reduce and/or stop the tons and tons and tons of catalogs, advertisements and other crap you get in your (snail) mail box? Just write a letter including your name, address and Social Security number and signature to Direct Marketing Association, Mail Preference Service, P.O. Box 9008, Farmingdale, New York 11735-9008. When you write, be sure to ask them to remove your name from the mailing lists. Does it work? Steak says yes. Our mail box is even empty some days. Awesome, isn’t it?
3. National Do Not Call Registry. Contact the National Do Not Call Registry and stop people from calling you at dinner, lunch or any other time. Keep in mind that charities are exempt from this list, as are companies that you have “previously established business with.
Hope this works for you. It sure has worked well for our household. Unfortunately, I don’t have much for spam. Sorry.
